Skin Care: DIY Oil Cleansing face wash

Using oil as a facial cleanser is the best way to remove dirt, make-up & sunscreen from your skin without vigorously scrubbing. Oil cleansing washes away all the unwanted grease & grime without stripping your skin of its natural oils. Not only is it an amazing cleanser it also nourishes your delicate skin due to its balancing effect. An added Bonus: It is more hydrating than most cleansers! Natural oil cleansing is easier for your skin to absorb, because of this it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy or heavy. Now that you know a little bit about the benefits of oil cleansing, lets begin creating an oil cleanser customized just for you.

Sensitive Skin (use calming oils)

  • Rosemary Oil

  • Camellia Seed Oil

Normal Skin

  • Jojoba Oil

  • Coconut Oil

  • Olive Oil

Dry Skin (use heavier oils)

  • Avocado Oil

  • Jojoba Oil

  • Sunflower Oil

Acne-prone skin

  • Grape Seed Oil

  • Argan Oil

  • Lavender Oil

  • Coconut Oil

Astringent Oils= shrink appearance of pores, tighten skin, reduce inflammation, reduce acne:

  • Jojoba oil

  • Hemp seed oil

  • Castor oil

  • Grapeseed oil

  • Hazelnut oil

Nourishing Oils= light weight oil that fits all skin types. Absorbs quickly & locks in skins natural moisture:

  • Jojoba oil

  • Argan oil

  • Coconut oil

  • Rose hip seed oil

  • Grapeseed oil

You Will Need:

1 tsp. Base Oil of your choice

3 tsp. Carrier Oil of your choice

Small Funnel (Click here for small funnel)

2 oz. glass bottle with treatment pump (Click here for 2oz amber glass bottle)

Once you have decided on your oils place the small funnel into your 2 oz. bottle and simply pour in your oils. Slowly roll to mix oils & voila! .. your personalized Cleansing oil has just been born!

Keep in mind: Every blend is going to work different for everyone. It's trial and error until you find what works best for your skin. If your skin feels too tight when using one of the astringent oils then use less astringent oil on your next blend. Astringent means that it has a drying effect. If your blend makes your skin feel too oily then add more astringent oil into your blend. It's all about finding a balance. Yin & Yang.

  1. Place warm water onto your face.

  2. Spray 4 pumps of oil onto your hands and massage onto face for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Place washcloth under warm-hot water, wring out washcloth, place washcloth on your face & Relax for a few minutes.

  4. Rinse washcloth under warm water and wipe away extra oil left behind.

Congrats! You just created & tested out your own Oil Cleansing Recipe!

Much Love,
